FAA A320 Type Rating (Initial)
Core curriculum approved course of training which leads to a type rating in the A-320 aircraft.
Approved course of training that meet the Air Transport Pilot (ATP) requirements of 14 CFR Part 61 to obtain an ATP certificate.
 
Approximately 3 - 4 weeks
(Total Ground School = 64 Hours)

40 = Aircraft Systems Training (Distance Learning or On-Site)
08 = General Operational Subjects
Review and Examination (No Specific Time Required)
16 = System Integration Training
12 = Simulator Training
(12 hours PF if paired; 18 hours PF if not paired)
04 = LOFT
(A minimum 2 hours LOFT is required for Initial Certification or additional rating if all training and testing is accomplished in a level D simulator.)
03 = Simulator Practical Test
